Companies that use organically based products.
Organically based products are not pure organics. These products may contain chemical nitrogen like urea and other chemical additives. They may consist of just enough organic ingredients to use the term "organic" in their labeling. Man made chemical ingredients are less expensive. Using combinations of chemical and organic ingredients allow companies to reduce their costs but still market their products as organic.
Most companies calling themselves organic companies fall into this
category.
Companies that use chemical products.
These high nitrogen chemical products most often contain toxic herbicides, pesticides, and fungicides. Repeated applications may cause the lawn system to become "chemically dependent", causing it's steady decline and requiring even more chemical usage. These herbicides, pesticides, and fungicides can be very toxic to the environment by poisoning birds, mammals, fish, and humans that frequent the treated areas.
