In today's urban forests, beautiful pruning has become virtually a lost art. Few modern day arborists, regardless of their certifications, understand the concepts required to properly prune a tree.  Unfortunately, even the owners and managers of most tree care companies today lack this same necessary understanding.  They can only instruct their employees on what is referred to as "trimming a tree".  This is where the exact same thing is done to every tree regardless of each tree's individual needs.  The result can be devastating to our trees and landscape.  We have all seen the results of this type of tree care as we go from place to place in our daily activities.
